Symptom: an indication that the body / system knows there’s a problem, and is already trying to deal with it. It’s what happens when the body has adjusted and compensated as much as possible, so it’s the least worst alternative. ‘Disease’ is usually an issue in the energetic system before there are physical symptoms.

Health is the ability to choose how you respond to changes in your relationship with life and your environment at all levels.

The healing process increases the ability to choose.

Energy is the process by which qualitative and quantitative attributes, their vibration and information, transfer from one state to another, one potential to another, one plane to another, one level to another, or one form to another, to produce physical form, connection, communication, work and action, or change of state. This expands on, but does not contradict, the definition of energy as “the capacity to produce work”.

William Bengston (The Energy Cure) once told us in a class he would’ve preferred to call his book The Information Cure, because he thinks what’s happening is the healee taking the information they need from the healer. Every energy exchange is also an exchange of information.

In holistic healing, it’s about the person, the whole being as a system, far more than the ‘disease’.  We also eventually figure out that it doesn’t work – for the long haul – to fight against symptoms. There’s no such thing as a homeopathic remedy, only homeopathic reasons for prescribing. Any system where the idea is to ‘battle against’, or even ‘balance’ is an allopathic system.

In the long run, healing individuals also involves healing their total environment – and the more we harm our environment, the harder it is for us to remain healthy.

Homeopathy, like only two other approaches I know of, Biodynamic Cranial Touch and BioGeometry, is about centering rather than balancing. Accordingly, the latter two explicitly distance themselves from being a ‘healing’ system. Zhineng Qigong is slightly different, because it has an explicit theory about how Qi energy and information becomes physical matter and dissolves back into energy, and being able to direct that process from the initiating aspect of Yiyuanti consciousness.

In the long run, healing individuals also involves healing the total environment with which they interact.

Consciousness is not a thing, but a process. It’s generated by and depends on causes and conditions, and goes away when those causes and conditions are no longer in play. It is generated when the ‘perception-processing wave’ picks up a ‘signal’. It has an energy aspect, so can also be transferred, through open-system constant energy-information exchange with our environments.
